Do you have a shop or showroom?

No. We are an on-line only business and do not currently have a shop or showroom. You can however view our stock in person whenever we exhibit at major craft shows throughout the year. To keep up to date as to where we will be exhibiting next simply join our mailing list or check our events page which will be updated with the latest dates that we will be exhibiting near you!!

I am a local, can I pick my order up?

No. As we do not have a shop or a showroom we are unable to offer a local pick up service. At certain times of the year we can arrange for local delivery dependent on your location. Please contact us prior to requesting this service as it is not available all year round.

Do you sell wholesale?

Strictly speaking No. Minimum requirements for permanent wholesale status can be obtained by contacting us for further information.

I have an ABN. Can I buy wholesale from you?

No. Please see above or contact us for further details.

Can you send samples?

Beads - No. We sell beads by the strand not by the individual piece, and as such are unable to send individual samples.
Waxed Cotton - No. Our waxed cotton cord comes on prepackaged cards and in retail packs and as such we do not have sample cards. Furthermore, due to the dyeing process used to manufacture waxed cotton cord, there can be minor variations in colour from shipment to shipment. The photos you see on our website are taken closeup and matched to the actual product to enable the truest representation of the available colours. However not all monitors are created equal.
Findings - No. All of our findings are sent in prepackaged retail quantities and we are unable to break these into loose individual pieces.

With all due respect, given our prices, most samples would cost more to post than the sample is worth. Thank you for understanding. smiley

Do you have a printed catalogue or colour chart?

No. Due to the constantly changing nature of our stock we are unable to provide a printed catalogue or colour chart. Due to the constant turnover of stock, experience has shown us that the catalogue would be out of date before it even went to print. While we make every attempt to maintain the colour consistency of our stock, there are sometimes subtle variations in dye lots that would render a colour chart useless.

Can I get Waxed Cotton Cord or Leather Cord in longer lengths?

No. All of our Waxed Cotton & Round Leather Cord comes prepackaged on cards and/or in retail packs and is only available in the lengths as specified on our website.

Why do I have a high postage charge for only a few items?

Whilst most items can be sent in the "large letter" category, and we do our best to keep postage costs as low as possible, there are some items that cannot be sent in the "large letter" category due to their dimensions being larger than 20mm which is the limit for the "large letter" category. These items must be sent in the "parcel" category. The good part is that you once you have reached this point you can usually add several more items without increasing your postage rate.

Do you sell Internationally?

We only sell to Australia & New Zealand. There is a minimum order amount for all international orders of $50.00 AUD before postage. When we do receive an international order, we manually calculate the postage cost on your order and send you through an amended invoice with the international postage rates added on. If you are concerned about the cost of postage rates please contact us. Please note postage rates for international orders start at $20.00AUD for standard Airmail.

Do you accept Paypal?

No. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Direct Deposit, Money Orders, or Cheques (subject to clearance).

How long will it take for my parcel/package to arrive?

That Bead Shop dispatches orders within 24 hours (or on the next business day) following receipt of payment. Standard post generally takes between 2 and 4 working days depending on your location within Australia. Express Post can take 24 to 48 hours but once again that is dependent on your location within the Australia Post network. International Airmail generally takes between 5 and 10 working days to reach its destination.

How do I know I am getting quality products?

That Bead Shop sources a huge variety of quality beading products from all over the world and from some of the world's leading manufacturers and distributors. All products are checked before being sent and we take the utmost care with our packaging. We go to great lengths to ensure that the pictures and descriptions of the products offered on our website are accurate and informative. Please note that there may be slight minor variations in the colours of some of the products as depicted on our website, due to the fact that all monitors (unfortunately) are not created equal.

I saw a product of yours at a show, but I don't see it on your website. How do I order it?

Please contact us. The product may not be available on our website for a number of reasons. Most likely is that is a new product and has yet to be listed on our website, or it may unfortunately not be available any more.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept MasterCard, Visa, Direct Deposit, Money Orders, or Cheques (subject to clearance). We have a fully secure SSL website with the latest in security to enable you to shop with confidence and peace of mind knowing that your details are safe with us. Or if you prefer you can simply call us on 1300 57 11 29 and give your details over the phone.

Is it safe to use my Credit Card on your website?

Yes. We have a fully secure encrypted SSL website with the latest in 512 bit security to enable you to feel safe and secure using your Credit Card when purchasing through our website. Alternatively you can call us with your details and we will process your payment while you wait.

Are my personal details safe?

Yes. That Bead Shop respects your privacy. Any personal information that we may collect from you is used only for the purposes of processing your order, and will not be sold, distributed or disseminated in any way or under any circumstances, unless compelled to do so by legal demand.

How much do you charge for postage?

  • $3.00 up to 125 grams and under 20mm thick.
  • $4.00 over 125 grams and up to 250 grams and under 20mm thick.
  • Under 500 grams and over 20 mm thick, Postage Cost is calculated on your Postcode plus the thickness of the Package or flat rate of $8.50, which ever is the cheapest option.
  • Over 500 grams up to 3kg package. Postage Cost is $13.50.

Due to changes in the Postal System we are no longer able to offer registered post. For tracking we would advise that you use Express Post. The rates for which are shown below.

Over 500 grams up to 3kg is $15.50
Express Post Platinum Prices available upon request

Upon checkout of your order, postage and handling charges will be added to calculate a final total. All prices include GST where applicable.
