One card of Griffin Natural 100% Silk Bead Cord in No-4 (0.60mm) size. The card contains 2 metres of 100% silk cord in White colour and comes with one needle attached. Griffin 100% Natural Silk Bead Cord is made exclusively from the high-grade filament of the silk cocoon.

The traditional way to string pearls is by using silk. Silk threads have good tensile strength and little stretch and can therefore be easily knotted and worked with. Most necklaces made with natural silk will drape around the contours of the body and always give a look of elegance and class. It is recommended that you use silk cords when your project is pearls or mostly pearls as other stringing materials may cause damage to the pearls. It is also recommended that you use a thread conditioner such as Thread Heaven when using silk cord to prevent fraying and tangling. Silk does break down in 3-5 years and it is possible that the piece will need to be restrung after that time.
